Grady Collier, age 78, of Arkadelphia, died Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born on July 30, 1934, in Bonnerdale, the son of William Floyd Collier and Lou Etta Ballard Collier. On August 8, 1957 he was married to Betty Fore who preceded him in death on November 29, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Stinnett; one grandson, Jeremy Stinnett; and nine siblings. He retired from International Paper after 38 years of service. Grady was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He always had a story to tell. He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Cindy and John Slater of Dawsonville, Georgia and Mindy Collier of Arkadelphia; one granddaughter, Jennifer Slater of Woodbridge, Virginia; one brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Catherine Collier of Benton; one sister, Sue Lambert of Hot Springs; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 19, 2012, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Dr. John Small and Bro. Rickey Poynor officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Interment will be in the Dillard Cemetery, near Bonnerdale, under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Benny Collier, Edgar Ragsdale, Elbert Ragsdale, Allen Collier, Tommy Collier and Mike Collier.
