Grover Davenport

Grover Davenport, age 85, of Sherwood, passed away march 18th, 2016 at home with family. He was born on November 26th, 1930, in Greenbriar, AR; he was the son of George and Ruby Davenport. Grover was a retired airman and master electrician. He was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church, GWRRA and the VFW. He enjoyed spending time with family, reading and resting his eyes.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his beloved wife; Ruth Davenport, daughter Tina Williams and grandson Charley Boring. His survivors include daughter Tammie Tabor of North Little Rock, son Jerry of Sherwood, son Michael of O'Fallon, IL; grandkids Heather McCoun of Alvin, Tx, Shane Tabor and wife Laura of North Little Rock, Jennifer Burgess and husband Mike of Cabot, Jason Davenport and wife Tiffany of Sherwood, 5 great grandkids and 1 great-great-grandkid. His brothers Jimmy Davenport of North Little Rock, Harold Davenport and wife Jan of Sherwood, and sister Georgeann Rhodes and husband Bill of Cabot.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am on Thursday, March 24th, 2016 at Sylvan Hills Community Church in Sherwood, AR.

Visitation will be from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 at Huson Funeral Home, Sherwood, AR

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sylvan Hills Community Church Crisis Center.
