Guy Edward "Eddie" Cerrato

Guy Edward “Eddie” Cerrato, 83, of Little Rock, passed away on February 19, 2024 having lived life to the fullest through to the end.

Eddie was born on September 6, 1940 to Alfred “Fred” Cerrato and Gussie Vae “Faye” (Ward) Cerrato in North Little Rock. After Eddie graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1958, he went on to join the United States Army and served in Germany. After completing his commitment to the armed forces, he trained as a Commercial Pipe Fitter and loyally worked in this field until his retirement 40 years later.

In 1963, Eddie married Joyce “Yvonne” Jones of Sherwood, Arkansas. Eddie embraced Yvonne’s daughter, Vikki Lynn “Sissy” Wade as his own. He and Yvonne were married for 44 years and went on to have three sons, Dean Edward, Christopher Lee, and Joseph “Jody” Mitchell. After Yvonne’s passing, he married widowed and longtime family friend, Charlotte Brightwell of Lonoke. They were married for 10 years before he was widowed again.

Everyone just liked Eddie. He was salt-of-the-earth hard-working. He didn’t miss a day’s commitment. He was always there. Reliable. Steadfast. Self-controlled. Responsible. Likable. He didn’t expect anything of others. He was content and grateful. He loved hanging out with family and being the oldest of four generations living life together. He made full his time here on this earth…enjoying time with his girlfriend Linda Gail Liles and playing golf with all his Pine Valley buddies until the day he left this world.

Eddie was predeceased by his father Fred Cerrato; his mother Faye Priest; his stepfather Clyde Priest; his first wife and mother of his children, Yvonne; and his second wife Charlotte; as well as his half-brother Ronnie Cerrato. He is survived by his brother Russell (& Phyllis) Cerrato; his daughter Sissy; sons Dean, Chris (& Debbie), and Jody; grandsons Zachary (& Sasha) and Casey (& Lauren) Cerrato; 5 great grandchildren; half-brothers Al and Terry Cerrato; stepson Danny (& Laura) Brightwell; and a multitude from the Jones and Cerrato family.
