Gwendolyn Chappel Ervin-McLarty, 52, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away August 31, 2021.  She was born May 16, 1969 in Nashville, Tennessee to Brady and Ginger (Pate) Ervin.

Gwendolyn retired after working over twenty years for the State of Arkansas where she was involved in many departments and organizations.  She received a master’s degree in criminal justice.  Gwendolyn was very kind and generous, always willing to help anyone with anything they needed.  She was always on the go and liked to have fun.  Gwendolyn and her husband, Kelly, travelled to many places together.  She loved her family and they all loved her.  Gwendolyn adored her husband and always strived to make him happy.  A few of her favorite things were flamingos, garden gnomes, and flowers of all kinds.

Preceding Gwendolyn in death is her sister, Tonya Ervin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of twenty-seven years, Kelly McLarty of Bryant, Arkansas; parents, Brady and Ginger Ervin of Heber Springs, Arkansas; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Lynn McLarty of Benton, Arkansas; nephew, Dustin Ervin and his fiancé Allison Ford of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Kevin McLarty and wife Dessire of Frisco, Texas; niece and nephew, Kailey and Braden McLarty; and many family members and friends who love Gwendolyn and will miss her always.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7 from 11:00 AM – Noon, followed by funeral service at Noon at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Burial will follow at Smith-Rosemont Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
