Gwendolyn Dawn Glasscock Graham, 82, of Little Rock, AR, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026 due to complications of congestive heart failure. Born on March 16, 1943 in New Orleans, LA, to Bob E. and Lila Lee Glasscock, Gwendolyn was an only child and was the light of their lives. They moved to Little Rock when Gwendolyn was young and she graduated from LR Central High School in 1961.
In her late teens and early 20’s, Gwendolyn was an avid competitive roller skate dancer and taught lessons as well. She met and married Bill Toland and had her only child, Chad Toland. She later married Robert Graham who was the love of her life. They met and married at Immanuel Baptist Church and God was the center of their marriage. Through the years, she juggled being a stay-at-home mom while also working in various occupations including dental assistant, book keeper for Jolly TV which she and Robert owned together, and sold Premier Jewelry. When Robert and Gwendolyn attended Riverside Baptist Church, she was instrumental in leading their youth group and loved organizing all their events.
Gwendolyn was a social butterfly and loved being with her friends, whether that was getting together to play games, going out to eat, watching the Murry’s Dinner Playhouse plays, or traveling. She sang in the choir and was very active in the Dinner Theater performances, which Immanuel performed in the 70’s and 80’s. In her later years, Gwendolyn lived at Briarwood Nursing Home and was active in their choir and all their activities as well. She loved getting her hair and nails done and wearing jewelry. Her clothing would often match the holidays as she loved having any reason to celebrate.
Gwendolyn is predeceased by her parents and Robert Graham whom she was married to for 48 years. She is survived by her son Chad Toland (Beth) of Little Rock, grandchildren Matthew (Matison), Gracen, and Lauren Toland and great granddaughter Lola Mae Toland all of Little Rock. She is additionally survived by her sister-in-law Diane Runyan (Fenton) of Arkadelphia, AR who was more like a sister than a sister-in-law and loved her dearly. Gwendolyn is also survived by her nephew John Runyan of Hampton, VA, and nieces Melody Hollingsworth (Joel) of Hot Springs, AR and Crystal Pyke (Robby) of Fate, TX along with several great nieces and nephew.
A visitation will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes in Little Rock on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 4:00-6:00pm with a family graveside at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministry at Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.
