Harley Wayne Adcock, 77, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his favorite place, his chair on the patio admiring his work in the yard and flower gardens. Wayne was born October 8th, 1947 in the Estelle Hospital located in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vicki Hallmark Adcock, and his two sisters, Linda James of Sherwood, Arkansas and Jean Clark of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Brandi, Lee, Stephanie, & Nick.
Wayne was preceded in death by his son, David Wayne Adcock on April 23rd, 2025 and his parents Louise and Harley Adcock.
Wayne graduated high school and completed his first year of college from Gordon Military School in Barnesville, Georgia. Over the years Wayne made many friends from Arkansas to Georgia.
Wayne loved the outdoors and spent time hunting and fishing in Arkansas sharing this love with his son David. They enjoyed many outings together over the years.
Wayne served his country in the Air National Guard, Little Rock Airforce base, Jacksonville, Arkansas from 1966 to 1973. He did a tour in Japan in 1968 during the Pueblo Crisis. Wayne was discharged from the Airforce in 1973. Wayne retired from the VA on December 28, 2006 following 24 years of service.
There will be a visitation held on September 18th, Thursday, from 5pm to 7pm at the Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
A private service for Wayne and David, his son, will be held at a later date.
