Harold Smith

Harold Eugene Smith, II, passed away August 30, 2021.  He was born August 17, 1943 in Astoria, Oregon to the late Harold Eugene and Cynthia Kathryn (Francis) Smith.

Harold grew up in Jay, Oklahoma where he was raised by his grandparents.  He graduated high school and then served in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army where he earned the Parachutist Badge and Expert Rifle Badge.  After serving in the military, Harold moved to Dallas in 1965 where he met the love of his life, Margaret. They were married on February 25, 1966. Together, they shared a love for traveling and went on many trips together.  Harold retired from National Linen Service after thirty years of employment.  He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Benton Gun Club and the Blue Rock Sportsman Club.  Harold’s favorite “holiday” was opening day of dove season.

Harold leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Margaret Smith; and many family members and friends.
