Harry Edward Kosin, 92, passed away quietly in his home in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 6, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He was born April 6, 1918 to the late Adam and Eve Kosinski (Jakpowski) in Rockford, Illinois. He married Ann Trener on July 26, 1940 who preceded him in death on December 16, 1981.
Left to mourn are his wife of 24 years, Ruth; one son, Craig Kosin (Lois) of Rockford; one daughter, Patricia Bellars of Roscoe, Illinois; six step-children; three granddaughters, Pamela Roos (David) of Platteville, Wisconsin, Tina Lamb (Jason) of Rockford and Kimberly Kosin of Las Vegas, Nevada; and one sister, Frances Rulis of Rockford. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins. Three brothers and a great-nephew also preceded him in death.
Harry was employed at Rockford Clutch as a setup man for 40 years. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II for two years. Harry was a member of the Church of Christ (6th & Izard St., Little Rock). He loved sports, traveling and spending time with his family.
There will be visitation on Thursday, November 18 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 at Calvary Christian Church, located at 5455 Charles St., Rockford, Illinois.
