Harry Presley

Harry Lee Presley died at his home on December 26, 2017 in Clinton, Arkansas at the age of 76.

Harry was born, along with his twin brother, Harvey, on May 1, 1941 in Morganton, Arkansas to Clarence and Cloie Presley.

He graduated from SouthSide High School in 1959. He worked as a Machinist at Teletype for 30 years. He joined the Marines in 1966 and received his boot camp training in San Diego and Camp Pendleton, California. He arrived in Vietnam in August 1966 where he joined the elite Alpha Company 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion. He did his recon training in Vietnam and Okinawa, Japan. He was honorably discharged in January 1968 as an E4 Corporal.

Harry was an accomplished bow hunter, woodworker and handyman who could fix almost anything. He will be remembered as a kind and loving man and father to his daughters, grandchildren and especially his great grandson, Kaiden.

He is survived by his wife Kathy; daughters, Angela Granberg (Brian) and Tracey Counts (Ken); granddaughter, Savannah Marshall; grandsons, Bryce and Owen Granberg; and great grandson, Kaiden Marshall; siblings, Lorene Murphree, Mildred Barnum, Sharon Bartlett and Garry Presley. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, CE Junior; twin brother, Harvey Presley; the mother of his children, Jean Presley and Nephew Tim Bartlett and Niece Kathy Barnum.

Visitation will be January 3, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be on January 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. He will be buried with military honors at the Colony Cemetery in Morganton.
