Hattie Meyer Janek, age 66, of Bismarck, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Hot Springs. She was born May 6, 1947 in Lavaca County Texas, the daughter of William J. and Hattie Darilek Meyer.
She received her Bachelors degree from Southwest Texas State University and her Master's Degree in special education from Henderson State University. Hattie was with Group Living in Arkadelphia for many years where she served as the assistant director.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Erwin Joseph Janek and one brother, William J. Meyer Jr.
Survivors are one daughter, Anya Walters and husband, Joel of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Isis Janek and Sidney Walters.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, November 15 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. A memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Group Living P. O. Box 159 Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
