Hazel Guenther

Hazel Juanita Whitaker Guenther passed from this life on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was born on March 31, 1923 to Andrew William Whitaker and Cora Annie Seaton Whitaker.
She was a faithful and active member of Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church for over 60 years and a member of The Crusaders Class. She was a wonderful Mother, cared deeply for her family and treasured the friendships she made throughout the years.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 59 years, William A. Guenther; sister Gene Wood; brothers Norman (Sonny) Whitaker and Edward Whitaker; son-in-law Donald A. Goss and great-granddaughter Alicia Anne Goss.
She left these to remember her: a son Stephen Guenther and wife Donna of Springdale; a daughter Judy Hale and husband Morris of Sherwood; and four grandchildren, Stephanie Gerard and husband Jeff, Stephen Guenther, Jr. and wife Nicole, Craig Hale, Kevin Hale and wife Annie. She has 10 great grandchildren she loved very much and who will remember her as "Great MiMi." They are Jackson and Hunter Gerard, Exie Claire and Cash Guenther, Denver, Ryder, Schaeffer, Pyper, Thatcher, and Hunter Hale. She also leaves many nephews, nieces, and friends she dearly loved.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Lakewood Nursing and Rehab Center in North Little Rock. They gave our Mother tender, loving and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church.
A private burial is planned by the family. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Gardner Memorial United Methodist Church, 1723 Schaer, North Little Rock with Rev. Kevin Hale officiating.
