Hazely Abigail Brazeal entered this world in the early morning hours of February 18th, 2023. She spent her days swirling and twirling through life in pink and purple tutus, but the thing that most marks our memories of her is how much she loved. Whether you were her family, friend, or she’d known you for 3 seconds, she loved you.
She also loved Jesus. She loved to sing worship songs at the top of her lungs and was always the first to volunteer to pray. “Thank you, Jesus. A…men” was her favorite prayer.
Her sassy sweetness will be dearly missed by those who loved her most: Her daddy Justin, her mommy Kristina, her older siblings Kaitlee, Brynleigh, Zion, Vaylor, and Oakley, her grandparents Terry and Donna Brazeal and Nancy Crews, her great-grandparents Patsy and Joe Nottenkamper and Johnnie Short McGee (and the late James Eugene McGee), as well as her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will feel her absence and miss loving and being loved by her.
If we know anything about Hazely, her first moments with Jesus were spent surveying the faces that have gone on before her. We imagine she greeted her baby brother Tristan with her signature side-eyed grin and hands on her hips.
Because of the Lord’s unfailing kindness and eternal truth, we hold this promise for Hazely:
Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you. (Psalm 139:16-18)
Hazely Abigail Brazeal awoke in the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 29th, 2026.
Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
