Helen Francis Looper, age 87, of Point Cedar, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2011. She was born on April 27, 1923, at Bismarck, the daughter of William "Bud" Hunt and Laura Southerland Hunt. On April 15, 1941, she was married to Hollis Looper. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her great-grandson, Kaul Lambert. She was a homemaker, a member of the Philippi Church of Christ and a pastor's wife, who loved to help and spend time with her church family. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Pastor Hollis Looper of Point Cedar; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Bob and Shirlene Looper and Rick Looper, all of Point Cedar and Jeff and Kathy Looper of Malvern; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and John Lambert of Point Cedar; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood. Visitation will be held Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Beaton Cemetery near Bismarck. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Terry Looper, Tommy Looper, Nathan Looper, Darrin Lambert, Carey Davidson and Marty Adair. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Timmy Looper, Warren Looper and Ben Looper, the nurses and staff of the Pines Nursing Home and the nurses and staff of Arkansas Hospice/5th floor of St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center.
