Helen Glee Lummus, 88, of Little Rock, passed away on September 19, 2018. Glee was born in Prescott, Arizona on October 31, 1929 to Merle and Fay Hutchinson. A few years later, the family moved from Arizona to Malvern, Arkansas.
After graduating Central High School (Hot Spring County) in 1947, Glee attended nursing school at Levi Hospital in Hot Springs, graduating in 1950. She spent the next 55 years working in many hospitals and nursing homes around Arkansas and retired to San Antonio, TX in 2005. In 2013, Glee returned to Arkansas with her family. Although she loved her work as a nurse, Glee strongly believed that the real hope for curing sickness is to have faith in God's promise to permanently cure mankind's suffering and to eliminate the enemy of death. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she enjoyed sharing that biblical hope found at Revelation 21:3, 4 with those she met in her ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Eugene Hutchinson.
She is survived by one son Jeff Lummus (Dana), two grandchildren, Weston Lummus (Randi) and Renae Lummus; a sister-in-law Lily Hutchinson, nephew C.W. Hutchinson and many friends.
A memorial will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 609 Collie Rd in Malvern.
