Helen Quinney

Helen Keller Quinney, born February 14, 1918 completed life's journey on February 6,
2015 and now stands in the presence of the Lord with whom she is well acquainted and
has spoken with many times. Other than when dad was in the army she was a Little Rock
resident and is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary Academy.

She has joined her husband Glen, parents Walter and Isabel Keller, two sisters Mary Louise Brown and Carolyn Raley, a brother Jay Keller and an infant daughter all who have been waiting patiently for her. She is survived by five children; Glen Quinney of Germantown, TN, Greg (Edye) Quinney of Hot Springs, Mary Ellen (George) Purifoy of Hot Springs, Isabel Birdsong
and Stella (Marty) Gaito of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and a bunch of great grands;
two brothers Walt and Tom Keller and one sister Mabel Cook.

Her brother Tom is a Catholic priest and was able to give her communion and last rites prior to her death, something cherished by all faithful Catholics. Mother was an accomplished pianist and entertained wherever she went and there was a piano. If you could hum the tune she could play it. She was also a beauty but very unassuming and wonderful company especially if you played bridge. Our Father always said he hoped that something bad didn't happen to him on her bridge day for he'd have to go it alone. She taught us that all things are possible thru prayer and was a faithful servant of the Lord. Other than the last few months of her long life she enjoyed good health and happiness, especially at the cabin on Lake Hamilton. We will miss her but are delighted there is another star in the heavens.

Visitation and Rosary will be held at Little Rock Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 10th, 6:00 p.m. with Rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with interment of ashes at Calvary Cemetery.
