Henry Abner Simpson, 87, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Henry Simpson was born on May 31, 1923 in Jacksonville, Arkansas to Booth Henry Simpson and Sallie Frances (Harrison) Simpson. He attended North Little Rock High School. He was associated with the Twin City Printing Company for over 50 years. He was a 50 year member of Sylvan Hills Masonic Lodge #754. He was an Army veteran of World War II and loved flying as a private pilot. Henry Simpson loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his older brother, Walter L. Simpson. He is survived by his wife, Freeda Mae (Harrell) Simpson of 67 years; son, Darwin H. Simpson; two grandchildren, J. Melissa Morehead and Bradley D. Simpson; and two great-grandchildren, Page Morehead and McCall (Mac) Morehead, all of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and a younger brother, Charles Simpson, of North Little Rock.
Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, 201 East C St., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
Interment will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday for family members at Rest Hills Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday at Park Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
