Hilda Bettis

Hilda Nell Bettis, age 93 of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2015 at Little Rock. She was born July 30, 1921 in Fairbanks, Arkansas and was the daughter of Porter Kennedy and Ruby Langrell Kennedy.

Mrs. Bettis was a retired home day care owner. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of North Little Rock and a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Marvin Bettis, her parents, sisters Mildred Spencer, Nita McKim, Elva Sue and Melva Lou Kennedy, and an infant brother.

Survivors include her three sons, Gary (Regenia), Randy (Linda), and Ron (Kathy) Bettis; seven grandchildren Gary Bettis Jr., Kristen Yohe (Scott), Adam Bettis (Kristin), Melissa Geering (Josh), Amy Baker (Donnie), Lindsey Bettis and Shane Thomas; ten great-grandchildren Hannah, Tyler and Zackary Yohe, Grayson Bettis, Luke, Elizabeth and Isaac Geering, Gabe and Mary Katherine Baker and Lauren Thomas; she is also survived by a sister Pat Rhoades and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation will be at First Free Will Baptist Church of North Little Rock at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be at Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Casket Bearers will be Gary Bettis, Jr., Adam Bettis, Josh Geering, Carroll Rhoades, Terry Rhoades and Lane Lasley. Honorary Casket Bearers will be Scott Yohe and Donnie Baker.
