Houston Davis Simmons, Jr., 80, passed away July 10, 2011. He was born in Monroe, Arkansas to Houston Davis Simmons and Naomi Francis Poe Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gabriella Simmons, a brother, three sisters, a daughter, two grandsons, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
He is survived by his daughters, Aline Jane Scarbrough and Ada Jean Searfoss; his son, Joseph Lynnwood Box; twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, July 15 at 2:00 p.m. at River of Life Church in Judsonia, officiated by Rev. Keith Tomlinson and Rev. Carl Medley.
