Howard Parris

Howard Franklin Parris, 82, of Lonoke, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2017.
Howard was born May 8, 1935 in Carbon Hill, Alabama and is the son of Edgar Parris and Dorith Files. He grew up in Earl, one of thirteen children of a sharecropper. Howard was a retired steel worker, a Christian, and a wonderful father.
He is survived by his sons, Alan and wife Becka, Edgar, Darrell and wife Lucinda, and Mike and wife Tracy, all of Furlow; daughters Cindy and Terry Johnson of Cabot, and Gwen Mayabb of Furlow; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother Bucky of Missouri; and sisters Judy of St. Louis, Missouri and Betty of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Belle, daughter Pam Chamness, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Hickory Plains Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
