Inez Lorene Parker Davasher passed away at her home January 24, 2026, at age 91 years and seven months. Those last seven months bear specific mention as they were quite possibly her most hard-fought, and we are so proud of her strength and grace. While we are heartbroken, we do not grieve as those who have no hope, for we know that when she closed her eyes here on Earth, she opened them in Heaven, standing face to face with Jesus—no walker, no oxygen, no Parkinson tremors. And what a homecoming celebration she must have had with a host of relatives there to greet her.
Inez was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Lillie Parker, her brothers Otha Parker, Elza Parker, Harold (Tam) Parker, and Ralph Parker, her sister Dora Ledbetter, her husband Bob Davasher, her son Keith Davasher, and her grandson Drew Davasher. Inez is survived by her son Bruce Davasher (Mitzi), daughter Leslie Boyles (Robb), grandchildren Linzi Soules (Neil), Landon Boyles (Maddie), and Jordyn Gay (Jordan), great grandchildren Parker, Peyton, and Zachary Soules, Reese Gay, and Carsyn Drew Gay whose arrival is expected in May. She will also be missed by many extended family members and friends whom she cherished.
Inez was born in Pearcy, Arkansas on June 13, 1934, the youngest of her siblings. Growing up during the depression equipped Inez to be remarkably resourceful. She was a saver and was often known to make something out of nothing! She was always a hard worker and genuinely loved her job in customer service at First Commercial/Regions Bank where she worked until Bob's battle with Alzheimer's required her to retire to care for him and boy did she honor her husband in that care. This loving service set quite an example for all her family as to what true love and dedication really look like.
Inez loved her family with her whole heart. One of her favorite things to do as a family was gather for meals. She loved to cook. She also loved to watch Razorback football, basketball, and baseball—and not just watch. Inez knew the game and was always ready to "root the Hogs in" as she would say!
Inez will be dearly missed. Please join us to celebrate her life well lived Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 12:30 pm at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Pinecrest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, also at Smith Benton Funeral Home.
