Irene Paul, 89, of Little Rock, passed away March 16, 2017. Born in Enola, Arkansas to Hester Clark and Ethel Davis Bailey, she was a member of Highland Valley United Methodist Church. She retired from Safeway as a bookkeeper.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Betty Nell Cathell, she is survived by her nieces, Deborah Ann Oakley of Rogers, and Tanya Ruth Bates of Springfield, Missouri; cousin, Madge Helm of Little Rock; great-nieces, Amenda Fisher (Darren) of Rogers and Bailee Bates of Springfield; great-nephew, Ryan Anderson of Springfield; dear friends, Eric Rodgers of Little Rock and Mitchell Hughes of Rogers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held this evening, Sunday, March 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola, with Rev. Wayne West officiating. Memorials may be made to the Marcus Hill Baptist Church or to the Arkansas Food Bank.
