Iris Ann Brockinton, 70, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, October 9, 2017. She was born August 21, 1947 in Marvel, Arkansas to the late Ira and Annie Hill Young. She was retired from Pulaski County School District after teaching at North Pulaski for over 20 years and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrell Brockinton; and grandson, Dustin Brockinton. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Donnie Brockinton; daughter, LeeAnn Fowler (Brad) of Sherwood; three grandchildren, Aaron Fowler (Savanna), Linda Fowler and Hunter Brockinton; great-granddaughter, Azura; two brothers, Abner Young (Virginia) of Como Mississippi, Joe Young (Mary) of Canadian, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends who will miss her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery.
