Irma Colvert
Irma Estelle Colvert, 100, of Little Rock, went to be with Jesus on December 14, 2017. Born in Thornton, Arkansas on April 22, 1917 to John H. and Rose Nell Colvert, she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt. She was a graduate of Central College and UCA in Conway. Irma was a dedicated member of Life Line Baptist Church for many years. She taught school for 10 years, then worked 35 years as a secretary/bookkeeper in medical offices before retiring.
Preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and six brothers, Irma is survived by two sisters-in-law, Margaret Colvert of Orlando, Florida and Parthenia Colvert of Searcy, Arkansas, many beloved nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Marilyn Jones.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. today, Saturday, December 16, followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), (501)224-2200.
