J. B. Launius (Command Sergeant Major, Arkansas National Guard, Retired), passed away April 17, 2017. He served in Highway, Calvary, Runyan and Graves Memorial Baptist Churches and at Arkansas Baptist Boys Ranch in Harrison, Arkansas.
He is survived by his sons, Jim Launius and wife, LaRue, and Bill Launius and wife, Amanda; daughter, Tamberly Buck and her husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Dana McCall (Shane), Jeremy Launius (Jill), Ashley Burns (Chris), MacGyver Buck (Amy), Vanessa Swayze (Ian) and Sara Phillips (Dave); and great-grandchildren, Riley, Harper, Oliver, Micah, Maddie, Chandler, Melia, Ashlyn, Sean, Ben and Eli.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lavois and brothers, Waymond and Bennett Launius.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, April 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, officiated by Bro. James Thomason.
