Jack Walter Russenberger, 19, passed away Saturday February 28, 2026. Jack attended Bigelow High School before being accepted and transferring to The Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts (ASMSA). It was at ASMSA where Jack explored his passion for computer science and discovered his love of Japan and Japanese culture. Jack travelled to Japan during school to study abroad and after graduation to explore the country and immerse himself in the culture. After graduating from ASMSA, Jack was accepted into the Honors Program at UCA. Jack was majoring in computer science and minoring in Japanese. In his free time, Jack enjoyed skateboarding and developing and playing video games with his friends and brothers. He also enjoyed blacksmithing using his homemade forge. His love of listening to different kinds of music translated to him picking up the guitar and always wanting to play a song for whoever would listen. With his many hobbies and interests, Jack made every day exciting, and there was never a dull moment in his presence.
Jack was the youngest of four brothers, however, the years between all of them have never made a difference in the bond that will always be shared by them. Though he is not with us anymore, his place in their brotherhood will remain present through the memories and love they have shared and will continue to share with each other.
In his early years, Jack spent quite a lot of time with his Mimi and PawPaw. His PawPaw was his best friend from day one and planted the seed for Jack’s love of food and eventually his love of cooking. Jack was also very much adored by his little cousins and his niece. He never took for granted the bond he had with all of them and never missed a chance to get down on their level to play, talk, or even just rock them to sleep.
Jack is preceded in death by Gerald Russenberger (PawPaw). He is survived by John and Merline Riggs (Granny and PePaw) of Arlington, TX , Jeannie Russenberger (Mimi) of Wye, AR, parents Craig and Gina Russenberger of Wye, AR, brothers Ryan Russenberger of Wye, AR, Luke Russenberger of Conway, AR, Nick, sister-in-law Shelby, and niece Haven Russenberger of Buffalo, OK, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held Friday, March 6, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Primrose United Methodist Church, 3006 W. Dixon Road officiated by Richard Gifford.
