Jackie Shuffield

Jackie Wanda Shuffield, age 72, of North Little Rock, AR passed away, very peacefully, Saturday, April, 29, 2017. She was a graduate of Eastern College of Health Vocations in 1989 and received her Registered Medical Assistant License and practiced in clinics for over 25 years in the central AR area. Most recent she served as an Instructor at Eastern College of Vocations for over 10 years and absolutely loved the medical profession. Jackie considered her occupation as a "teacher" a calling from God. And stated... "I loved both professions!" Jackie accepted each job in her career as a new opportunity to minister to others. She loved praying with and for others along with studying, listening and talking about God. She was an active member of Levy United Methodist Church and served in her Discovery Sunday School Class, The Ladies Circle, Intercessory Prayer Group and she presented the Children's Sermon on Sunday mornings; These are just to name a few of her earthly ministries. Jackie's gifts were many, and she exemplified the scriptures, Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Jackie loved, and enjoyed her family; she loved family reunions and holidays, and the preparation thereof. "Most of all...I always loved my family and was proud of their accomplishments and the kind of people each one became." Jackie was a loving and caring person, devout Christian and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend who was always thinking of others first.
She is survived by her children; Robert Dale Shuffield (Michelle) of Mt. Ida, AR and Donna Shuffield of North Little Rock, AR; Her grandchildren Meaghan Nichole Morrow (Erik) of Lonoke, AR, and Joseph David Shuffield of North Little Rock, AR, Erica Morris of Mayflower, AR and Jarred Morris, of North Little Rock, AR and Kayla Applegate (Ryan) of Maumelle, AR. Her great-grandchildren, Nathan Allen Morrow of Lonoke, AR., Jackson and Evan Grace Spencer, both of Mayflower, AR and Jessi Morris of North Little Rock, AR; And brother David Bentley (Geneva) and sister-n-law, Ann Bentley, and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward Bentley "Ed", Mildred "Elsie" Bentley; Brother, Fred Bentley, and sister, Roberta Sims.
