Jackie Walker
Jackie Walker, 81, of Cabot, Arkansas was born May 16, 1935, and he passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. Prior to his retirement, he was a switchman for Union Pacific Railroad, and a U.S. Army veteran. Jackie loved the outdoors, especially hiking through the woods and watching the rain on rainy days. He enjoyed riding Amtrak just to enjoy the scenery. Jackie took care of his family first, and never missed a game or practice of his girls as their biggest supporter.
He is survived by daughter Shelly Ann Walker; grandchildren Blaze Taylor (Landon), Taylor Johnson (Josh), Shelby Anthony, Ty Anthony, and Addie Anthony; and three great-grandchildren Peyton, Reese and Sadie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Shelby Askew Walker.
Family will receive friends beginning at noon Friday, April 14, 2017, with service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Burial will be in Sylvania Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
