James Owen "Jim" Anspaugh, Jr., a beloved husband, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025. Born on January 11, 1961, in South Bend, Indiana, Jim was a man whose light brought warmth and joy to all who knew him.
Jim's professional journey led him to become an esteemed account manager for Hunts Brothers Pizza, where his integrity and passion for service shone brightly. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his work. It was not merely his career that defined him, but the love he held for his family and his deep faith in the Lord. A devoted member of North Side Assembly of God in Texarkana, Jim's faith was a guiding force in his life, influencing his actions and interactions with others.
To his loving wife of 15 years, Cynthia Anspaugh, Jim was much more than a partner; he was her confidant and greatest supporter. Together, they embraced life's joys and challenges, fostering a home filled with love and laughter. Jim's legacy lives on through their children: James Anspaugh, III, Jonathan Anspaugh and his wife Ashley, Jacquelyn Anspaugh, Molly Ragsdale and her husband Casey, and Chloe Pate. He was a proud father who took immense joy in being present in their lives, supporting and nurturing their dreams.
Jim's spirit extended beyond his immediate family to include his sister, Julia Wiard, and her husband Barry, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who adored him. One of the most touching memories shared by those close to him was the heartfelt gift he gave to his new bonus daughters—two dogs named George and Max. Knowing how dearly they wanted a dog, Jim made sure their dreams were fulfilled, showcasing his caring nature and his desire to bring happiness to his family.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Jim loved engaging in discussions about his favorite teams, which included the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, Arkansas Razorbacks, LSU Tigers, and the Chicago Cubs. His love for animals, particularly dogs, further enriched his life, and he often found joy in their companionship.
Jim was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James Owen and Edna Margaret (Graves) Anspaugh, Sr., who shaped the values he carried with him throughout his life. His absence will be profoundly felt, not only by his family but by the countless lives he touched along his journey.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life at a visitation on June 30, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:30 AM both taking place at Smith Family Funeral Home Benton, located at 322 N Market Street, Benton, AR 72015.
