James Baxter Holland

James Baxter Holland of Cabot, Arkansas passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 71.

He was born April 26, 1954. James was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School, and a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. He was known by family and friends as a kind, gentle, and devoted man who loved his family with his whole heart.

James is preceded in death by his father, Jurda Holland and mother, Reba Sneed Holland and sister, Karen Holland.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Holland; his daughter, Melissa Holland (Natalie); and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his grandson, Jack Robert Holland, due May 6, 2026. Sister, Ulean Holland, Brother, Willis Holland (Connie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

James enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including baseball, softball, fishing, golfing and most importantly coaching his daughter, Melissa, in numerous sports. He also loved spending time “piddling” in his garage, always finding something to fix or tinker with. Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, a time he cherished gathering with the people he loved the most.

He will always be remembered for his gentle spirit, his kindness to everyone he met, and the deep love he had for his family.
