James Alvin Cox age 54 of Arkadelphia went to meet his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Hot Springs with his family by his side. He attended Hollywood Baptist church and was preceded in death by his infant son James Allen Cox, his father A. B. Cox, his mother Maxine Davis Cox, his step mother Patsy Cox, and a step sister Debra Godwin Manriquez,
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Cox, a daughter Crystal Cox of Arkadelphia, one brother Terry Cox of Hot Springs, four sisters, Avis Wilson of Arkadelphia, Marie Cox of Murfreesboro, Debbie Hightower of Delight, and Patsy Hill of Prescott, two step brothers, Daryl Godwin of Arkadelphia and Gary Godwin of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with burial in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
