James Davis

James Davis

James (Jim) Dale Davis, age 85 years, left this world on March 3rd, 2024.  He was a beacon of light and hope to those around him. His devotion to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was evident in his everyday actions and interactions. He was always extending a hand of help and a word of comfort to those in need. His compassion knew no bounds, and his generosity was a testament to his deep and abiding faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie Sue Davis, Parents, James Lester Davis and Olgra Mae Davis, and his brother, Donald Davis. He is survived by his sister, Mary Killeen of Pearl River Louisiana; two children, Daughter, Karen Watts and her husband Phillip of North Little Rock; Son, Gregory Davis and his wife Alesia of Fort Smith, three grandchildren, Chad Watts and wife Stephanie of Texarkana, Molly Banks and husband Matthew of North Little Rock, Andrew Davis and wife Emma of Tontitown, and six beautiful great-grandchildren, whom he dearly loved and treasured.

Jim was born in Pampa, Texas on November 2nd, 1938. He graduated from North Little Rock High School and attended Henderson State University. He worked as a Regional Tax Manager for Georgia Pacific for many years before retiring in 2013.

He was a member of the Sertoma Club, and a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of North Little Rock. Jim was a long-time member of Park Hill Baptist Church where he served in numerous ministries, including choir, Bible study and the Dockins’ Sunday School Class.

A celebration of life will be held at Parkhill Baptist Church in North Little Rock on Friday, March 8th, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, Children’s Choir, 201 East “C” Avenue, North Little Rock, AR 72116 or to Riverview Hope Campus, 301 South “E” Street, Ft. Smith, AR 72901.
