James W. "Bill" Garrison died September 30, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born November 17, 1948 in Newport, Arkansas where he was a lifelong resident, other than for his four years of service in the Air Force in Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Faye Garrison and a sister, Anna Cheshier. He is survived by a son, Jason Garrison and three grandchildren, Alex, John Jared and Mary Catherine, all of Batesville; his sisters, Lena Doyle, Buddie Everett and Ginger Martin, all of Little Rock; and many nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
