James Hill

James (Jim) B. Hill, 80, of Beebe, Arkansas peacefully went to be with his daughter, Kim and our Lord while surrounded by close family on August 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
He retired from Cosden-Fina in Texas. He was a Korean War veteran of the Army and a member of 16th Section Church.
James is preceded in death by his mother and father, Irvin and Dovie Hill and his daughter Kim Renee Gilbert.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela J. Herndon of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren Cody Herndon, Casey Turbeville, Jamie Herndon, Lindsey Carter and Robney Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Marrisa, Garrett and Drue Carter and Kamryn Herndon; his lifelong friend Wanda Hill Anderson of Lubbock, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Marylene and James Weir of Pearland, Texas; niece Elaine and husband (surrogate son) Ira Lawson of Nacogdoches, Texas; nephews Rick Weir of Sugar Land, Texas and Greg Weir of Houston, Texas; and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 9, 2013, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
