The Angels called James Lantrip, Jr., 73, of Scott, to be home with his Lord and Savior on September 29, 2008. He was a member of North Little Rock Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Lantrip of Scott; three sons, Raymond ?Snooky? Afalava (Anjuile), Stratton F. Aona, Bambridge J. Aona, all of Honolulu, Hawaii; three daughters, Telela Martin (Eddie Don), Viva Wilson (Andy), Samantha F. Lantrip, all of Arkansas; three brothers, Don and Michael Lantrip and Michael Goshen; and 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lola Lantrip; son, James Lantrip III; daughter, Lena Aona; grandson; three brothers, A.D., Curtis and Dale Lantrip; sister, Jewel ?Evelyn? Bakalekas. James was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2008, in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
