James Maddox,

James Maddox, Jr. was born June 29, 1952 in Star City, Arkansas to the late James and Rosie Lee Maddox. He departed this life on May 20, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Polk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Yorktown, Arkansas.
He graduated from Grady High School in 1970. James moved to Little Rock, Arkansas and was employed by Chicopee Manufacturing Company where he retired, and later became an over the road truck driver.
He leaves to cherish his memories a beloved daughter, Anesha Smith and two grandchildren, Chloe Bradford and Anthony Smith, all of Olathe, Kansas; seven sisters, Reola Maddox Taylor (Anton) and Loraine Banister of Kansas City, Missouri; Levonne Rogers and Lula Wright (Lawrence) of Oakland, California; Naomi Taylor (Rev. A.C. Taylor) and Earcie Dean Maddox of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; and Alice Mitchem of Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Arthur Drumgoole (Gracie) and Johnnie Drumgoole, also of Little Rock; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services are Saturday, May 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Baptist Church., 8901 Arch St. (at Baseline), officiated by Rev. Kenneth Myers.
