James O. "Wormy" Lambert, age 74, of Amity, died Sunday, July 22, 2012. He was born on August 16, 1937 at Amity, the son of Oscar Lambert and Gussie Stroope Lambert. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Dewey Lambert. He was a retired diesel mechanic. He is survived by his wife, Edith I. Lambert; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Debbie Lambert and Barry and Johnna Lambert, all of Amity; his daughter, Lynn Lambert Davis of Hot Springs; four grandsons; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson; one brother, Albert Lambert of Amity; and two sisters, Melvia Tidwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Leta Hopper of Amity. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2012, in the Shiloh Church of Christ with Rick Collie officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be William Ray Lambert, John Lambert, Mark Hopper, Jonathan Lambert, Dylan Lambert and Cody Davis. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
