James "Teddy" Stafford

James "Teddy" Stafford, age 84, of Caddo Gap, passed away on Monday, January 8, 202.

He was born on December 4, 1939, in Caddo Gap, the son of Cecil Stafford and Hazel Horn Stafford. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Stafford; his uncle and aunt, Amos and Lucille Horn; and his infant brother.

On March 23, 1967, Teddy was married to the true love of his life, Linda Stafford, who preceded him in death on December 12, 2023.

He attended the Sabbath Fellowship Seventh Day Adventist church and had served in the United States Army and Air Force. During his service in the Air Force, Teddy was an Air Policeman. He loved watching old westerns and listening to country music. One of Teddy's biggest accomplishments was owning and operating the Caddo Gap Mercantile that he inherited from his uncle and his grandfather had built. Teddy never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew him.

Teddy is survived by his children, Debbie Stafford of Hot Springs and Amos Stafford and his wife, Tammy, of Mount Ida; four grandchildren, Tyler Stafford, Zack Wallace, Kimmy Cude and Deidra Lenard; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. Dale Collins officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to services, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, Arkansas 71943.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Caddo Gap.
