James Elvin Taylor, 73, of Searcy, Arkansas went to be with the Lord July 17, 2025. James was born on November 24, 1951, in Woodruff County, Arkansas to Grady and Francis Taylor. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and was a Christian.

James is survived by two daughters, Valerie Jo Martinez and Cassie Taylor; brother William R. Taylor; and sister Virginia L. Smart; two grandchildren, James David Brokl and Anthony Riann Brokl.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Misty Taylor, sister Helen Marie Hill, and brother Coy Lee Taylor.

Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. To view the online register, please visit www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook.
