James Wesley Williams, Sr., 80, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord August 6, 2026. James was born on January 1, 1946, in Little Rock to Troy Williams and Mary Whitaker.
James was an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a Mason, having served as Past Worshipful Master for two terms, assisted in Job’s Daughters and DeMolay and provided mentorship to them. He was Past President of Jacksonville Shriners, and was a member of the Eastern Star. James was a retired route salesman for Budweiser.
He is survived by his wife Patty Williams of Conway; his children, Ralynn Cleveland, Tavonda Williams, Wes (Tasha) Williams, David Long, Wendy (Darren) Moore, and Patrick Long; eighteen grandchildren; a legacy of great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; one brother, Troy Williams; and his beloved Australian Shepherd Skye.
James was preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather Jay Whitaker, his first wife, Marilyn Williams, daughter-in-law Rebecca Long, and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, followed by Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Online guest book at www.smithfamilycares.com.
