James E. Wood age 68 of Friendship died Thursday at UAMS in Little Rock. He was born September 18, 1940 in Hot Spring County, the son of Edward James and Sophia Ware Wood.
He was retired from Reynolds Metal Co., a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one son Michael Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn, three daughters; Danette Smith of Friendship, Myra Long of Athens, Al, and Kendra Haynie of Prescott; Five grandchildren, Derek and Dustin Long, Josh and Sopia Smith, and Cade Haynie.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hollis McDermott and Rev. John Clements officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Friendship. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be to the Mt Pleasant Cemetery Fund c/o Paul Crow, 301 Nix Loop, Donaldson, AR 71941.
