Jane Almeida Tucker of Conway, formerly of Little Rock, passed from this life Aug 25, 2017. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on June 14th, 1940 to Joe and Rita Almeida. She spent her early years in Lowell surviving some tough times for the family eventually dropping out of high school to go to work in a textile factory. She met and married an Army man and soon found herself with three small children living in Ankara Turkey at the age of 24. She told stories of having to buy drinking water from street vendors there. After moving back to the states the family followed the Army from coast to coast. The early 70âs found her a single mother struggling to raise us 3 kids. She held a variety of jobs including waitress, bartender, retail clerk, and hairdresser, but the job that gave her the most fulfillment was as the clubhouse manager at Maumelle Country Club in the 80âs and 90âs where she made many friends both among her staff and the members of the club. She was proud that at the age of 62 she received her GED with honors. Her final years she moved to Conway to be closer to family as she battled with COPD. Mother was raised in the Catholic Church where she was christened and confirmed at a young age. In her 60âS she developed a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus and was baptized into his church. Therefore we take comfort in knowing that she is with her heavenly Father free from the pain and cares of this world.Mother was predeceased by her parents, her brother Joey Almeida and the father of her children Timothy Neas. Survived by her sisters Rita Roper (Bob) and Flo Crowell (Dick) both of Hudson NH her children Lisa McGee (Don) of Enola, James Neas (Lisa) of Conway, and Tim Neas of Orange Park FL. Grandchildren Amy Burton (Chris) Jessica Rutherford (Josh) and Kelsey McGee (Jarred) all of Conway, Brooke Neas of Orange Park FL and Trey Tucker of Little Rock, greatgrands Bryce and Maliyah and many nieces nephews and friends.
