Janet Louise Allen Bradley, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on October 4, 1944, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Janet embodied love and warmth throughout her life, creating a nurturing home filled with joy for her family.
Janet enjoyed a fulfilling life marked by her passions and dedication to her family. She was a master gardener, lovingly tending to a house filled with plants that brought life and beauty to her surroundings. With her artistic flair, she would often sew clothes for her children during their childhood, showcasing her incredible creativity. Her love for cooking and baking was legendary; Janet could take the simplest ingredients and transform them into delightful meals and treats that brought families together.
Janet is survived by her loving daughter, Valerie (David) Flynn; her brother, Richard Allen; and a rich lineage of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her granddaughters include: Madyson (Drew) Lay, Shannon (Stefan) Eiermann, Brittany (Zach) Hammond, Renee (Nick) Jones, and Taylor Flynn. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jonathan (Toni) Devereaux and Ryan (Lara) Devereaux, as well as her adored great-grandchildren: Kaiden, Kyle, Logan, Daniel, Savannah, Landon, Ella, and Addison.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Gary Bradley; her parents, Buford and Harriett Allen; her brothers, William Allen and James Allen; her sister, Diana Burlington; and her beloved daughter, Julia Purl.
Janet’s legacy will live on through her family and the love she instilled within them. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, located at 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring Janet's remarkable life and the lasting impact she has made on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She will be reunited with her husband at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
