Dr. Jan Ellsworth, 83, of Little Rock, passed away August 4, 2021. Born in Cleveland Heights, Ohio to Edward and Edna May Kinney Schroeder, she earned her Ed.D. in Education at the University of Toledo. She was a lifelong educator in the public schools, a professor at UALR, and a trained alto singer.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dr. Victor Ellsworth; daughters, Katherine Braner (Matthew) of San Diego, California, Linda Myerholtz (Eric) of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Alison Ellsworth of Little Rock; son, Eric Ellsworth (Krystal) of Seattle, Washington; brother, Robert Schroeder (Mary Jo) of Centerville, Ohio; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Myerholtz, Emily Myerholtz, David Myerholtz, Haley Braner, Zachary Braner and Lily Keyes.
Memorials may be made to the Special Olympics and the Ronald McDonald House.
