Janie Faye Dukes, 79, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born July 31, 1929, at Brown Grove, Arkansas, to Homer W. and Onie G. Ingle Oliver, and went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Springhill Baptist Medical Center, North Little Rock, Arkansas. Janie was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Pete" Dukes. Janie is survived by her son, Gary Dukes of the home; granddaughters, Ellen Dukes (Stewart) Farquhar of Benton and Leslie Dukes (Brent) Silvey of Fayetteville; and four great-grandchildren, Jordan, Olivia Grace, Cristi and Shane.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at Union Valley Baptist Church, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Valley Baptist Church Building Fund in Beebe.
