Janie Louise Engel

Janie Louise Engel, 92, of Little Rock, passed away on June 20, 2024. She was born on August 7, 1931 to Willie and Celeste Ming in Paris, Arkansas. She was devoted to her family, who she loved.

She is survived by her children, Marilyn Touchstone (Bill), Larry Engel (Sandi), and Joan Scott (Jim); grandchildren, Andrea Wagers, Eric Touchstone, Jacob Young (Charlotte), Mandy Butler (Stephen) and Nicholas Engel (Michael Tackett); great-grandchildren, Matt Wagers (Jamie), Zach Wagers, Allison Wagers, Skye Simmons (Tyler), Shelby Young and Leyton Young; sister, Willeen “Tot” Nicholas, and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Lawrence Engel, her parents, and siblings, Bill Ming, Monroe “Monk” Ming, Mary Melbo, Ann Gean, and Ola Pike.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am, followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 2:30 pm in St. Scholastica Cemetery, 288 Saint Scholastica Road, New Blaine, Arkansas.
