Janis "Kay" Moreland, 83, formerly of Roland, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in Danville, Arkansas. Born on April 13, 1942, in Roland, Kay was the beloved daughter of the late Franklin "Frank" Bivins and Flossie Bivins.
Kay was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her kindness and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. A talented and passionate individual, Kay found immense joy in crocheting, quilting, and seamstress work, as well as being a wonderful gardener. She was also renowned for her phenomenal pie baking, a treat cherished by many. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Moreland; her cherished daughter, Tammy Lambert (Lee Lambert); and her siblings, Gail Bivins, Carolyn Studer, and Rose Bradley.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Beverley Lackey (Mark Lackey), Diane Phillips (Gordon Phillips), and Marie Huie (Scott Huie); her son, Tim Moreland (Belle Moreland); and her dear sisters, Mary Ann Bixler, Fretia Bivins, and her brother, Don Bivins. Kay leaves behind a beautiful legacy, including 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Natural Steps Cemetery in Roland, Arkansas, at 2:00 PM.
