Jattice Marie Mullins

Jattice Marie Mullins, age 74, of Norman, passed away on October 4, 2023.

She was born on August 24, 1949, in Norman, the daughter of Otto Hill and Helen Williams Hill.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Darren Mullins; her three granddaughters, Marissa Reynolds, Molly Mullins, and Cassandra Mullins; and her infant brother.

Jattice was Baptist in her faith. She was a proud member of the class of 1967 at Norman High School and still had close friends from her class. After high school, she continued her education and earned a master’s degree in mental health counseling. Jattice’s entire working career revolved around children, she worked for child welfare and the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division. She loved to volunteer and go to the beach. Jattice’s main goals were to always do for others and make everyone happy. Everyone knew how much Jattice loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was loved beyond measure and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Darlene Mullins of Norman and Jamie and Hollie Mullins of Mount Ida; her special friend, Cynthia “Cyn” Emerson; her five grandchildren, Kristen, Breanna, Rachelle, Corey, and Jeremy; her six great-grandchildren, Paisley, Connor, Owen, Reese, Sierra, and Jaden; her three brothers, Joe Hill of Eureka Springs, Jimmy Hill of Greenland, and Chris Hill of Glenwood; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Jattice’s life will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, October 9, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel with Bro Jimmy Rowland officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, prior to services on Monday.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Mullins, Corey Mullins, Josh LaGrange, Brandon Carmack, Jake Raines, and Tucker Emerson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Clark Hill, Landon Emerson, Billy Thompson, and Daniel Hill.
