Jean Elizabeth Gibson Harvey, 96, of Beebe went to be with the Lord, Friday October 5, 2018. She was born December 16, 1921 in Old Austin to the late Paul and Ruth Gibson.
She married L.B. Harvey in 1939, and wore many hats throughout her life including, cattle and dairy farmer, factory worker, owner of Harvey's Liquor and Harvey's Fish House, as well as wife, mother, and grandmother. In her later years, Jean enjoyed quilting, cooking, and visiting. She never met a stranger and loved to visit with everyone.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, L.B., son Ronnie Harvey; granddaughter Tara Haynie, two sisters, three brothers, one nephew and two nieces.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ellen Haynie; grandchildren, Sarah Crabb, Ron Harvey (Kathy), Wade Haynie; great-grandchildren, Rachel Crabb, Maygun Butler (Paul), Benny Harvey, Ashley Harvey, Savanna Harvey, Kennedy Haynie; ex son in law and dear friend Dale Haynie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2018 at Stoney Point Cemetery.
