Jeanette Gail Lowery, of Maumelle, beloved wife of David Lowery, devoted mother and dear friend to many, passed away November 27, 2012 at the age of 63. She was born October 25, 1949 in Little Rock. She was a member of Pulaski Heights Presbyterian Church since childhood.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, James M. "Buck" and Carrie Lucille Cairns. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband; children, J.D. Lowery and wife, Jennifer Lowery of Maumelle and Devin Lowery of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Blakleigh Lowery, Madison Corley and Mason Lowery of Mount Vernon, Texas; and sister and brother-in-law, Jana and Dan Bradford of Rogers.
Gail was known to most for her quick wit, dry humor and prodigious intellect. Some might call her outspoken. She had a voracious appetite for reading books of all types and could match the most obscure quotes or stories to fit any situation. She will be remembered as a Cub Scout den leader, perpetual community volunteer, lover of animals, finisher of David's incomplete crossword puzzles and prolific holiday decorator of her home.
There will be a visitation on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where family and friends are welcome to visit and share stories about Gail's influence on their lives. A graveside service and burial will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, (501)224-2200. Gail's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
