Bryant

Jeanne Lynn Garrett passed away on October 11, 2024 at the age of 65. Born on July 1, 1959 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Benny Leroy and Nancy Carolyn (Deese) Bowers.  Jeanne lived a life filled with creativity, love and dedication to her family and work.

Jeanne had a fulfilling career in office administration with Entergy, where she dedicated over twenty years of her life. Her professional endeavors were complemented by her personal passions.  She was not only a talented crafter,  but also a successful businesswoman. Jeanne owned a business called "Art Genie", where she shared her artistic talents through crocheting, cross-stitching, ceramics, painting, creating custom cigar boxes, and so much more. Her creativity and handiwork were a source of pride and joy that she enjoyed sharing with those around her.

Family was everything to Jeanne. She loved unconditionally and was supportive of all her family's endeavors.  She opened her home to traveling bands needing a place to sleep, sewed black robes for her son's heavy metal band, and would never turn anyone needing help away. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother and her family feel they were blessed with the best.  Jeanne loved everyone she met and everyone loved her in return.

Jeanne was married to her soul mate-her loving husband, Jimmy Garrett, for 46 years. Together, they built a life filled with warmth and cherished memories. Jeanne is survived by her two sons, Jeremy Garrett and his wife Sarah, along with Jake Garrett. She was a proud grandmother to Mallory Wilson and Jaxen Garrett, who affectionately called her GG, a name that encapsulated her loving nature and the special bond they shared.

Jeanne is also survived by her brother, Mike Bowers and his wife Susan; and her sisters, Carol Bowers, Jerri Kay Bowers, and Tracy Bowers. She leaves behind a host of family and friends whose lives she touched deeply and who will forever miss her presence.

Jeanne enjoyed an array of interests, including playing pool with her husband which brought them closer and offered countless hours of fun.  They were active members of a pool league, which reflected her competitive spirit and love for fun gatherings.

In remembrance of Jeanne, a celebration of life will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas, on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service officiated by Pastor John Tracy at 6:00 PM.

Jeanne Lynn Garrett's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, cherished for her artistic spirit, familial devotion, and the joy she brought into their lives.  May her memory be a blessing and a source of warmth for all who she inspired.
